Down at the Alex there's a mighty football team...

The day was upon us, the London crowd was building, the smell of success in the air.
Many ladies were queuing up all night, just waiting to get a glimpse of Bresci's hair. 

The Super 3s were ready to go, focused on fortune and glory.
We knew we had a chance to win through the big inclusion of the hard nut, Hoarey.

North London came to challenge us, a fearsome challenger were they but alas, they couldn't do the job.
Before the game we watched them warm up and I thought 'gee whiz, these blokes look like an ordinary mob'.

The Demons went in strong and hard as we knew they would.
Our old mate Nudgey, he's alright, and did what any good man should.
He gave it his all and never said die, ferocious without any fear.
After the game he came to me and said 'bloody hell, Nudgey needs a beer'.

So we raised the cup and celebrated with Terry, his face filled with glee.
The champagne was flowing and lols were high when Bresci's bottle went poppee!

'Back to the Alex' Coombesy said and off we went to party.
I remember the old days when we when won flags and leading the charge was Marty.

Premiers again, 4 years straight, a remarkable feat is that.
Jimmy Perrett has laid down the challenge and said 'if you go 5 next year I'll eat my hat'.

Forward we go as legends do, focused on 2019.
But before we do, let's stop and reflect on what an awesome fucking year it has been!

Huge congratulations to all teams, players, coaches and club officials for the Demons achievements in 2018. What an amazing club and group of people! Thanks for making it a special year.
