RD7 '19: Demons vs Swans (Women's Conference)

Clapham Demons X.X.XX def. by London Swans X.X.XX

A tough day at the office against a very experienced and well drilled swans outfit who got over us by 30 odd points. The girls battled hard in some hot English weather and learnt a lot from the game.

We swung some girls around the park this weekend with some playing in positions they had not spent much time in. Even though the positions were new many, we still battled all day and no one can doubt our endeavours. Credit to some of the girls who spent time in all parts of the ground, Arnie, Lacey and Schmidty who swang between all 3 areas of the ground.

We had some stand outs on the day with Lic fresh off euro cup where she played for England, dominating through the midfield.

Our backs battled all day against a quick and experienced Swans forward line, who maintained the pressure throughout the game, not giving us much time to get the ball going our way.

We have some things to work on over the next couple of weeks. One game before we get into the finals series, where we hope to make it through to the grand final and knock off the so far undefeated Swans.
