Round 5 - Womens Prem - Wildcats v Dee's

Matt Sexton | 17.06.22

The rivalry is back, a story as old as time! Playing in the prime time spot of 4.30pm all eyes were on.

We started well and the first quarter was extremely competitive with both teams finishing on level scores.

The 2nd quarter we had a lapse of concentration and let a few goals through. This lit a fire under Gemma who played a hell of a quarter and came into half time as a prime example of do or die play to get the team revved up.

We were by far the better team in the second half and pulled back the deficit in the 3rd quarter. It set up the 4th as a cracker and we piled on the pressure. Unfortunately time wasn't our friend and we went down by 7 points. It highlighted how good we can be and we will come out on Saturday looking to put in a 4 quarter performance.

A massive congratulations to the girls who played their first prems game, you put in a fantastic effort!

We continue on, finals right in focus
