Wandsworth Demons 11.2.68 def North London Lions 7.3.45

And we’re through the the big dance!!

Coming up against a strong North London’s Lions side, the Men’s Prem’s came away with a 4 goal win after playing some terrific football.

After getting off to a start and coming into quarter time a couple of goals up, the boys crashed in and were moving the ball well throughout the quarter.

The second quarter saw the game kick up in intensity with spot fires of fights occurring everywhere. To the boys credit, we cooled down at half time and came out in the third quarter and played with discipline and toughness to continue to build a decent lead.

Going into the last quarter 5-6 goals up and with Ki Currie looking as dangerous as ever, the boys were able to hold on to come away with a 4 goal win.

Soz played his best game of the year accumulating almost 40 touches to be best for the Dee’s. Ki Currie, fresh off a BOG game in the 2’s was thrown up forward to provided another option and did he what!! Big Kiser kicked 3 goals to play a big role for the team in the win, particularly since Pig went down with a corked hip.

Brayden Irving and Nick Dundon again performed well through the midfield, while Jeffers played a big captains game across half forward, setting up many goals and even kicking one himself.

Paul Watson was huge in the ruck, as was Owen Ryland on the wing and DJ down back.

This week is what we play footy for. The big GF against the Wildcats. The boys have been buzzing on the track this week and go into the game with full confidence of bringing home the silverware. Good luck to all grades in their respective Grand Finals and let’s bring it home!! Go Dee’s 🔵🔴
