Finals Week 1 - Men's Socials - Dee's v Sussex Swans

As a hot and sunny day dawned at the Clapham common dustbowl attention quickly turned to a super 3’s side playing for a place in yet another grand final.

From the first bounce and idea that this was going to be a walk in the park was quickly demisted as we ran into a well drilled Sussex team who used the ball well and seemed to be able to find space across all parts of the ground.

We conceded 3 goals in the first half and were unable to register one for ourselves leaving an uphill task for the remainder of the game.

After finally scoring a goal late in the 3rd term in looked like the game might be swinging in our favour until some simple mistakes handed Sussex a couple more goals and eventually the match.

We were beaten by the better team on the day, but look forward to bouncing back this week against the wildcats, Shoutout to Ed Moberly, Harry Pearce Danny Radis and Tom Curtain who all had great games
